Description
The essence of the project Development of the System for monitoring the position of electrical load switches for electrical substations (SS), based on LoRaWAN technology. The substations are located according to the power supply scheme both in the city and in the region. Network equipment and radio modules (RM) can be installed in switchgear, incl. outdoor execution. Distances between the nearest substations are from 3 to 15 km. The planned number of sensors at each object is from 5 to 20 pcs. Wired communication lines at the substation are not available. The total number of substations in one region is more than 300. Number of participants: 4-3 groups of 4-3 students each. A project designed for students of computer science / applied mathematics/EE students. Project Tasks The system should provide remote monitoring functions using LoRaWAN communication channels, provide centralized collection and processing of signals: a) inclusion b) shutdown c) accident Requirements for RM - sensor type - -dry contact- - 2 sensors are connected to RM - power supply - autonomous, from lithium batteries. - estimated battery life - from 3 to 5 years - the number of sensor activation - up to 20 per day - the presence of an external antenna - work with common gateways - degree of protection not less than IP65 - temperature range -30 + 55 ℃ Software Requirements - Main LoRa Network Server Support - The ability to host LoRa Network Server in the cloud and locally on the customer's servers -Registration of events in DB Oracle, PostgreSQL - End-to-end encryption from endpoint to application server - Automatic notification of emergencies (notification with error code) - Time stamps - Scripted configuration - API support Integration with MicroSCADA ABB and corporate management systems (optional).- Suitable for students: • Research objectives: A project designed for students of E&E Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management, Faculty of Design. • Implementation objectives: A project designed for students of computer science / applied mathematics/ E&E Engineering, Faculty of Design. Emphasis in project execution: The project has the right atmosphere of a start-up company, which combines meeting deadlines while being creative and focusing on the task. The work is multidisciplinary, paid for by students from other faculties and possibly even from other institutions.
