Description
AR-powered Mobile Makeup Aid How does the system work? AR and Camera Integration: The application utilizes the device's camera to capture the user's face. It applies AR to superimpose makeup, allowing users to get instructions and preview various makeup looks in real time. The GUI is to assist with self-face-make-up. Responsive User Interface: An intuitive and interactive UI that facilitates easy makeup style selection, adjustments, and customization. Makeup Advice System: Provide a step-by-step user flow for users to make up themselves, guided by the AR layers and explanatory textual information. Project Tasks: First Stage: (in parallel) 1. UX/UI design of the expected GUI (the MVP screens design). 2. Initial development of the app focusing on: * Basic AR makeup superimposition. * Simple UI for makeup style selection. * Database setup to store makeup styles, user preferences, and interactions. Second Stage: Enhancement and expansion: 1. Improve AR accuracy and introduce more makeup styles/variations. 2. Enrich the UI for a more engaging user experience. 3. Incorporate user feedback and interaction history to refine makeup recommendations. Suitable for students: Research objectives: Designed for students of Digital Product Design (UX/UI), Multimedia Art, and Cosmetic Science. Implementation objectives: Ideal for Computer Science and Digital Product Design (UX/UI) students Emphasis on project execution: The project mirrors the vibrant dynamic of a tech start-up—balancing innovation with commitment to timelines. It's an interdisciplinary endeavor involving collaboration between faculties and a software design and development company on the market. The focus? It merges technology with aesthetics to create a practical and delightful tool for users. Teaching and mentoring in project management, Agile processes, best practices in software development, product design, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Mentoring and Collaboration: This project is based on a collaboration between the HIT college and the LET ME Ltd company (a known SW house in the Israeli market). The proposition includes hands-on project management and expert mentoring along all project steps. The proposed mentoring hourly count is: Project manager (LET ME PM) – 4 hours weekly. Software Development (LET ME technical Lead) – 4 hours weekly. High-Level Product Design (LET ME Product design expert) – 4 hours monthly. Supervisor cooperation manager (LET ME R&D expert) – 2 hours monthly at max (for HIT point of contact meetings and coordination of all efforts). * The above elaborated is possible for negotiation and update before the project starts. The expected point of collaboration from the HIT side should be a college mentor/s, directly managing each student group, coordinating the timeline, scheduling meetings, and providing all constraints HIT yearly schedule-wise. Number of participants: 2-3 groups of 4-7 students each. A project designed for students of computer science / applied mathematics. =========================================================== For any questions about the project, I will be available by phone: 050-5714100 Regards, Mark Israel markisr@walla.co.il, marki@hit.ac.il
