AR-Smart navigation campus Project Brief Description: Project in the field of full-stack The Augmented Reality Campus Navigation App project aims to address the challenges of campus navigation, particularly for new visitors, within the growing academic campuses. Develop in Kotlin for Android, the application utilizes augmented reality (AR) technology to enhance the overall navigation experience.The primary goal is to create an application that offers a more inviting, graphical, and attractive general navigation experience within the campus. Applications of the Solution: The Augmented Reality Campus Navigation App seeks to revolutionize campus navigation by providing an intuitive and visually appealing solution. It addresses the challenges faced by students, visitors, and new faculty members in navigating large and complex campuses. The application's primary goals include: Building a generic and adaptable interface for diverse campuses. Creating a clear, efficient, and user-friendly graphical interface. Developing an advanced navigation system leveraging AR technology. Supporting a variety of Android smartphones. Providing multilingual support in Hebrew and English. Time Frame: The project is planned over two semesters: • Semester A: 1. Define project specifications and proposal. 2. Learn Kotlin, Android Studio, and ARcore basics. 3. Create a basic AR application with spatial anchors. 4. Mapping the campus and creating a digital map. • Semester B: 1. Leveraging Azure Spatial Anchors for advanced features. 2. Testing the application, gathering feedback, making adjustments, and continuous improvement. 3. Preparing project deliverables: project presentation, poster, documentation, and project book. Technologies Used Within the Project: Android Studio Kotlin ARcore Azure Spatial Anchors Unity 3D/Open GL Google Firebase Git Number of participants: 2-3 groups of 4-7 students each.
