Automatic Shade System – Hardware Team The automatic shade system is an advanced technology that uses sensors and smart algorithms to adjust window shades based on light intensity, temperature, and user preferences. It integrates with smart home devices using wireless protocols like Zigbee or WiFi to optimize energy efficiency and comfort. Project for Electrical Engineering students. Background: We are building a Smart Campus system to understand which will track temperature and light intensity. We will determine if an area needs shade based on temp and light from the sun. The system will show a map of the campus, some areas will be present on the map and they will be marked as needs shading , doesn’t need shading, shaded or unshaded. Technologies You will use: LORAWAN technologies and sensors. Node.js / Python server Your Goals: - Write the project documentation and plan including finding which sensors to buy. - Installing sensors. - Parsing sensor data into JSON objects. - Send data to a server created by another team. - Build a basic robot that gets data from a server (true or false) open and close shade.
