Description
Active Rooms Detection System – Full Stack Team Active rooms detection is a technology that uses various sensors such as motion, sound, or infrared to identify when a room is occupied. This information helps optimize energy usage and enhances building management systems by adjusting lighting, heating, or cooling based on real-time occupancy data. Project for Computer Science students. Background: We are building a Smart Campus system to understand which rooms are active by detecting light and movement in the room. The same way the automatic lights turn on and off we want to have this monitored with a web application and sensors in the room. The system will show a map of the campus, some rooms will be present on the map and they will be marked as active or inactive. Data Flow: Sensor - Gateway - Transmitting Server & Data Parsing - Main Server - Client Technologies You will use: Node.js Server React.js Client MySQL database Your Goals: - Write the project documentation and plan. - Create a Node.js server. - Create a React.js app. - Run a MySQL server and database handle data coming from other teams. - The client will monitor data and set thresholds. - Visualize with graphs and animations. Project lasts 2 semesters and the group will be 3 students. For more information, please contact Shiran Yossef at: Shirany.hit@gmail.com
