Description
Introduction This project will develop an AI-powered Smart Security System that uses real-time video analytics and modern web technologies to enhance urban safety. Two cameras, connected via the LoRa smart campus network, will monitor public areas, detect abnormal patterns, count and identify people and objects, and send intelligent alerts to the municipal control center. The system will process data in real time, display it on an interactive web dashboard, and use AI models for suspicious movement detection, people and vehicle tracking, and abnormal behavior alerts. Background Urban security challenges are increasing, with traditional CCTV systems often providing only passive recording and slow response times. Recent advances in AI-based video analytics enable automated threat detection, pattern recognition, and rapid alerts. In this project, two cameras will be integrated into the LoRa- based smart campus infrastructure at HIT, enabling real-time monitoring, abnormal behavior detection, and automated alerts for the Holon municipal control center. Project Scope Install and connect the cameras to the LoRa smart campus network. Configure each camera for optimal video quality and continuous streaming to the AI processing server. AI & Analytics People and Vehicle counting. Suspicious movement and abnormal behavior detection. Automated Alerts with video clips to municipal control center. Student Requirements • Proficiency in Python. • Familiarity with databases (MongoDB preferred) • Basic knowledge of AI and computer vision concepts • Independent learning. • High motivation.
